Curriculum
Empowering Every Child
Rise Above emphasizes valuing each child as capable humans with individual thoughts and ideas. Respecting children as independent students who learn in various ways, we implement Project Approach, which supports our beliefs and values on how children learn in one hundred ways or more. Projects can span multiple developmental skills, integrating various areas of learning into a cohesive experience.
Student Centered Learning
lessons are based on children’s interest, curiosity, and questioning.
Real World Relevance
making learning more meaningful to each child.
Collaborative Work
plays an important role for building relationships with one another along with students and educators investigating and researching together, as co-learners.
Unlocking Creativity
Loose Parts Play Inspires Creativity and Lifelong Learning
At Rise Above, you will even find more materials in the classrooms and on the playground. If you add materials to students play, their curiosity and imagination expand with limitless possibilities. Children develop cognitive, problem solving, and social-emotional skills through open-ended play. Loose parts are not just fun, but it provides endless opportunities for learning.
