There are teachers who work at a school. And then there are teachers who become part of a school’s identity, woven into the fabric of the place itself. Ms. Meghan is the second kind.
This summer, we celebrated a truly remarkable milestone: 20 years of Ms. Meghan at Rise Above Early Learning Center. Two decades of showing up for children, for families, for colleagues, and for the work she clearly loves.
We marked the occasion joyfully. There was Kona Ice for everyone, pizza, and the kind of warmth that only comes when a community genuinely wants to celebrate someone. The energy in the room said everything.
Ms. Meghan works in our toddler classroom, which means she has been doing some of the most tender and important work in early childhood. Toddler teachers hold a special place in the life of a child. They are often among the first school relationships a child ever forms, and the security that comes from a warm, consistent presence during those years shapes children in ways that reach far beyond the classroom.
The children truly love her. One of our little ones, Jackson, summed it up perfectly in the moment: “This is AWESOME!”
We could not agree more.
Ms. Meghan, thank you for 20 years of commitment, warmth, and dedication to the children and families of Rise Above. This community is better because of you.
