About Our LEADERSHIP

Where Relationships Matter

Our team is the heart and soul of what makes “Rise Above” thrive.  “Rise Above” believes in pouring into our educators, so they can pour into our children and families.   Each team member masters their own gifts that they contribute throughout the organization, which is celebrated often.  Our early childhood educators strive to learn new techniques and skills to align with the best practices in the industry.  Our team is highly trained in health and safety, along with curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices.

Meet Our Leadership

Ms. Risen

Director
Since 2021

I completed my master’s degree in an education-related field in 2018 and earned my CDA shortly after. I entered the early childhood field as a teacher in 2021, working with children from infancy through school age. This experience laid the foundation for my leadership journey, and after receiving my Director Certification, I transitioned into program leadership with enthusiasm and purpose. Children’s smiles remind me daily why this work matters. Each child brings their own strengths, interests, and possibilities, and I am committed to creating environments that nurture independence, creativity, and confidence. I believe that a well-organized, intentional classroom sets the stage for meaningful learning. As a leader, I find fulfillment in supporting both children and adults. I aim to build a workplace where staff feel encouraged, respected, and connected. My focus is on fostering strong relationships, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring that our program remains a place where everyone can thrive.

Ms. Patty

Administration
Since 2010

I have been in the early childhood field since 2010, and I truly enjoy working with children of all ages—from infants to school-age. At Rise Above, I proudly serve as both the chef and a classroom support leader, stepping in wherever I’m needed to help teachers, children, and families. This leadership role excites me because it allows me to use my talents, experience, and compassion to support others in meaningful ways. To me, the staff, children, and families at Rise Above feel like my extended family. Building relationships is one of my greatest joys, and watching the children grow—sometimes from infancy all the way to graduation—is a privilege I never take for granted. I love seeing their faces light up when they arrive each morning or when I bring their meals. The children have even named me the best ‘cooker’ in the world, and that simple, sweet compliment brightens my day every time.
