Why We Throw a Carnival Every Single Year

IMG_6698

Every August, Rise Above throws open our doors for one of our favorite nights of the year: our Back to School Bash. This year marks our third annual carnival, and on Friday, August 14 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, our whole community is invited to join us.

Our mission is to build a warm, welcoming, and connected community around every child we serve, and that means opening our doors to families who have not met us yet, not just the ones who already call us home.

The evening will be full of the things that make a carnival a carnival: a DJ, a food truck, carnival games, and a bounce house. Chiefs Flag Football and Soccer Shots will be on site, along with a face painter and local vendors and small businesses from our community. Free kids haircuts round out the fun.

Alongside the carnival, we will be hosting an Open House. Families can walk through our building, see our classrooms, and get a real feel for the kind of environment your child would learn and grow in every day. There is no better way to understand our Reggio inspired, child led approach than to see it in person.

Our current families tell us they look forward to this night every year, and we understand why. It is a chance to celebrate the community we have built together, to welcome new faces, and to remind ourselves why we love what we do.

Whether your child has been with us since they were tiny, or you are just starting to look for the right early learning home, we would love to see you on August 14. Come play a few carnival games, meet our teachers, and see our classrooms for yourself.

This event is free and open to the entire community. No RSVP required.
