There is something special about a teacher who arrives with both experience and genuine eagerness. Ms. Maria joined the Rise Above preschool room recently, and from her first days with the children, it has been clear she belongs here.
Before coming to Rise Above, Ms. Maria spent years teaching English in Venezuela. She brings that depth of classroom experience into every interaction, and she has taken to our Reggio-inspired approach with curiosity and care. She studies our curriculum, asks thoughtful questions, and looks for new ways to connect with each child in front of her.
What strikes the team most is how naturally she builds relationships. The children have taken to her quickly, and families notice. Parents share that their little ones come home talking about Ms. Maria with a kind of fondness that only comes when a teacher truly sees a child.
She is kind-hearted, patient, and warm. She has a son of her own, and that experience as a parent shows in the way she connects with our families, with understanding, with empathy, and with real care for every child in her room.
We are so grateful Ms. Maria found her way to Rise Above. Our preschool families are in wonderful hands.
