I Am a Scientist: How Every Classroom at Rise Above Explored the World Through Science

When we say children are capable, we mean it. This month, every classroom at Rise Above is proving it in the most wonderful way: by becoming scientists.

Our I Am a Scientist project invites each classroom to go deep into a specific branch of science, not just learn facts, but truly explore, question, and discover.

In the infant room, our youngest learners will explore astronomy. In the past, teachers have transformed the space into a solar system, hanging representations of each planet from the ceiling and posting facts about each one throughout the room. The babies explored hot and cold through sensory activities, connecting the concept to the planets and their varying temperatures. Once again, our littlest learners will explore science through the senses, exactly right for where they are developmentally.
