Holiday Cards for Our Community

This season, our Preschool and Pre K children at Rise Above created holiday cards for residents at a local nursing home. This activity invited the children to practice kindness and steady creativity as they worked with purpose and thoughtfulness.

The children chose colors, shapes, and simple messages that felt meaningful to them. As they created their cards, they talked about who might receive them and how a small gesture can help someone feel noticed and cared for. These conversations supported social emotional learning and helped the children understand how giving can strengthen connection.

This project reflects our values at Rise Above Early Learning Center, where learning grows through relationships, empathy, and opportunities for children to express themselves in meaningful ways. We appreciate the care the children brought to this work and the joy their cards will bring to the community.
